You can adjust the view of your design with your fingers, the Orientation cube, or mouse/trackpad and keyboard.
- Rotate the view
You can tap anywhere on the screen with one finger and rotate around the point. If you want to view all sides of a body, tap inside of the body and start dragging your finger around the screen.
Or, you can rotate the view with two fingers. You need to turn on 2-Finger Rotation in Settings or Orientation Cube > Appearance to use this feature. Then, you can tap the screen with two fingers and rotate around the axis you created with your two fingers.
If you’re using a mouse, hold down the Shift key, secondary click (or right-click), and drag your pointer.
If you’re using a trackpad, hold down the Shift key and pan with two fingers.
- Rotate the view 90 degrees in 2D mode
Tap the screen with two fingers and rotate them simultaneously in any direction. The sketch or 2D view of your model will be rotated 90 degrees.
You can also tap or select the right or left arrow above the Orientation Cube.
- Pan the view
Tap the screen with two fingers and slide simultaneously in the same direction.
If you’re using a mouse, secondary click (or right-click) and drag the pointer.
If you’re using a trackpad, use two fingers and slide simultaneously in the same direction.
- Zoom in and out
Tap the screen with two fingers and move them apart to zoom in. Then, pinch together your fingers to zoom out.
If you’re using a mouse, hold down the Control key, secondary click (right-click) and drag. Or, you can scroll with the mouse wheel.
If you’re using a trackpad, pinch in and out with two fingers.
In addition to using the tricks above, you can also control the view from Views/Appearance and Orientation Cube.
You can select to open Views/Appearance. In the Views tab, you can select different camera views:
If you double-tap or double-click the Orientation Cube, your grid is reset to its default state, and all your geometries are shown to fit the screen. You can also press the Shift key and 0 to quickly reset.
If you double tap with your finger on the grid, face, or closed sketch, you can jump into an orthographic (2D) view. If you’re using a mouse, then you can hover over a face and press the Space bar. If you’re using the trackpad, double-click a face with two fingers.
