If you're using the Apple Pencil, use the Line/Arc tool in the Sketch menu to draw arcs in your design. Draw the arc just as you would with a real pencil on paper. If the Line/Arc tool is set to “Automatic,” then the app will notice your intent and create an arc with three control points (center, and two endpoints) and two defined dimensions:
If you're using a mouse or trackpad, use the Arc tool in the Sketch menu to draw arcs in your design. Click to add two endpoints of the arc, and then place a third point to finalize the shape. Note that while you're drawing the arc, you can directly type in the radius or angle and press the Return key to finalize the dimensions. To finish the sketch, press the Return key. To remove the arc, then secondary click (right-click) with your mouse or press one of the following:
- Delete (Backspace)
To drop the active sketching tool, press the Escape key.
To move the arc, select the center point and move that. After you finish drawing the arc, you can adjust the size of the arc by:
- Setting the radius manually
- Selecting the arc and pulling the arc away from or towards the center
- Setting the arc degree
If you prefer to define arcs by their diameters, then go to Settings and select Radius and Diameter in Circular Annotations.
