ℹ️ This tool is available to all users.
The Project tool translates your sketches, edges, face, and bodies to another face, either as sketches or edges. With this, you can manipulate the projected sketches and edges on complex, non-planar faces.
Take these steps:
-
Go to Menu > Tools > Project.
- Select the projection type. If you choose “Imprinted Body Edges,” the projection will create new edges. If you choose “Sketches,” the projection will create new sketches.
In this example, select “Imprinted Body Edges.” - Select the sketches, edges, faces, or bodies you want to project. Each selection is indicated with the blue badge.
- Select the surface that you want to project on. The target surface will be colored purple, and you’ll see a preview of your projection.
- Select Done.
💡Shortcut💡: If you select the item you want to project and the target surface, the menu is customized automatically. From this adaptive menu, go to Menu > Project.
When you’re done projecting, select Done to close the tool.
