The designs you create in Shapr3D are saved locally on your iPad, and they are not accessible on other iPads—even if you log in to your Shapr3D account on those devices.
Note: In a future release, designs created on iPad and Mac will be accessible on all devices.
Keep in mind that when you back up your device automatically via iCloud, your Shapr3D designs are not included in this backup. In this case, if you delete the app or reset your iPad, your designs will also be deleted and they cannot be recovered.
So, you need to export all your designs from the Shapr3D app in the native SHAPR format and upload them to iCloud or any other cloud storage service to keep your Shapr3D designs accessible. Always back up before you reinstall the Shapr3D app or reset your iPad.
Follow these steps:
- Open your design and click Export.
The Export dialog will appear. - Click Shapr3D Design.
The following dialog will appear. - Name the export and click Continue.
The following dialog will appear. - Save to iCloud Drive:
a. Click Save to Files.
Select a location in your iCloud Drive and click Save.
b. Click Share with… and select iCloud Drive. Then, click Save.
If the Shapr3D app keeps crashing and you’re unable to export your designs, follow instructions in this article.
