ℹ️ All users, regardless of subscription plan, can import images and all supported formats.
You can import rasterized images into your design in Shapr3D as a reference when you model or sketch, and create an exact copy of real-life objects.
These formats are compatible: JPG, PNG, GIF, TIFF, BMP, ICO, RAW, and PDF (single or first page). Vectors are not supported.
If you want to import images from the Photos app, make sure Shapr3D has access to your photos on your device. You can grant access in System Preferences > Security & Privacy. Close and reopen the app to start importing photos.
To import an image, you can use one of the following methods:

Go to File > Import...
The Import window will appear, and you can choose the image file. -
Click
from the title bar.
The Import window will appear, and you can choose the image file. - Drag and drop image file onto the Shapr3D app icon in the dock.
The following dialog will appear, and you can choose where you want to save the imported file. - Open your design space, select Add and then Image.
You can then position the imported image in your view, and even change the opacity of the image.
