ℹ️ This tool is available to all users.
Intersect is one of the three Boolean movements in Shapr3D. In your design, you can single out the shared parts, or the intersection, of overlapping bodies with this tool. The extra parts of the bodies that did not intersect are deleted.
You can create complex bodies with this tool in just a couple steps:
-
Go to Menu > Tools > Intersect.
- Select the target body or bodies that you want to modify. They should be highlighted in purple and labeled with the target badge.
- Select the intersecting body or bodies, or tool bodies. They should be highlighted in blue and labeled with the tool badge.
Note: If you want to redefine a body as a tool or target, select the badge. - Turn on the Keep Originals switch if you want to keep the original, intersecting bodies.
In this example, the switch will be turned off. -
Select Done.
💡Shortcut💡: If you select the intersecting bodies, the menu is customized automatically. From this adaptive menu, go to Menu > Intersect.
