Import your 2D drawings to Shapr3D by using the most popular 2D CAD formats, DWG and DXF. Export from AutoCAD or other CAD and modify your sketches on your iPad. Once you are done, export your drawings in DWG or DXF.
How to import
Use AirDrop, cloud apps or export from other iPad apps (like Concepts) to bring DWG and DXF files in Shapr3D.
Once you have imported the file, you have certain options and warnings you can handle:
- hide certain groups, which you don't want to import
- add auto-constraints on the imported geometry (perpendicular, horizontal, tangent)
There are certain layers, where some or all geometry is unsupported. We notify you in these cases with a little lighting icon. We won't be able to load these layers, because:
- we don't support 3D elements in DXF, DWG
- the geometry is corrupted
- the layer is empty
