ℹ️ This tool is available to all users.
Subtract is one of the three Boolean functions in Shapr3D. Use it to remove bodies or groups from other bodies or groups.
You can use the tool if you have at least two bodies—one body is inside the other as a separate entity—in your design space. In a few steps, you can subtract them:
- Go to Menu > Tools > Subtract.
- Select the target body or bodies that you want to remove from. They should be highlighted in purple and labeled with the target badge.
-
Select the tool body or bodies that will be cut away. They should be highlighted in blue and labeled with the tool badge.
Note: If you want to redefine a body as a tool or target, select the badge. - Specify which type of body you want to keep with the Keep Originals switch: all original bodies, only originals of modified bodies, only the originals of bodies that were cut away, or none at all.
-
Select Done.
💡Shortcut💡: If you select the target bodies first, the menu is customized automatically. From this adaptive menu, you can select Subtract.
