ℹ️ This tool is available to all users.
You can use the Offset Face tool to push or pull the faces of 3D bodies in the design space—using the pen, mouse, or touchpad. By doing so, you also proportionately alter the faces that are adjacent to the offset face. In many cases, you can use this tool to transform the overall size of the object, or remove or add thickness.
You can do a basic offset in several steps:
- Create a 3D body.
-
Go to Tools > Offset Face.
- Select faces.
- Drag and pull the arrow to adjust the offset value. Optionally, you can type in the exact value on the keyboard and press the Enter key to finalize the value.
-
Select Done.
💡Shortcut💡: If you select the faces first, the menu is customized automatically. From this adaptive menu, go to Offset Face.
When you’re done offsetting the face, select the empty space to exit the tool.
