The Items Manager lists all items within a design and provides several functions that can keep your design organized and help you make selections. For more information on the Items Manager, explore the sections below:
Accessing the Items Manager

Items Manager icons and structure
Every sketch, body, plane, axis, image, and 2D Drawing you create in your project is defined as an item and is listed in the Items Manager. You can quickly identify the different types of items in the Items Manager panel by the icons displayed next to the item name. See the table below for more information on the icons used in the Items Manager.

Make selections
The Items Manager is one available option you have for making selections in your design. You can define a selection set in the Items Manager panel and launch valid tools from the adaptive menu. To make selections easier, you can filter the Items Manager using the arrow next to All Items.
💡Tip: For Mac and Windows, hold the Shift key to select more than one item. For more information on making selections in Shapr3D, visit Selecting geometry.

Create and use folders
You can create folders in the Items Manager to organize your designs and group together selection sets. To create a folder, use the icon at the bottom of the Items Manager panel.
Once a folder is created, you can add items to the folder using drag and drop. See some examples below.

Note: For iPadOS, there is an additional option to move items to a folder. You can select the items, then select the folder. At the bottom of the panel select More (...), and select Move selected here as shown below.
Hide/show items
Each item in the Items Manager includes a Hide/Show icon that can be used to identify and control the visibility of design elements. You can click the icon to toggle the visibility of the item. The state of the icon reflects the current visibility of the item.
The table below shows how the icons appear for different visibility states in the different platforms:

💡Tip: You can select the Hide/Show icons for folders to change the visibility of all items within a folder.
Adjust image opacity
When you select an image in the Items Manager, an Opacity slider is made available. You can use this slider to adjust how transparent the image is in the design space.
More options
Each item in the Items Manager has additional functions that can be accessed such as:

Renames a selected item or folder. |

The Rename icon is different depending on the platform:

Deletes a selected item or folder. | Deleting a folder will also delete all items inside the folder. | ||
Isolate Item/Selection |
Isolates a selected item or items (all other items become hidden). | This function is also available at the bottom of the panel when an item is selected. | ||
Exit Isolation |
Shows all items that had become hidden when Isolate Item/Selection was selected. | This function is also available at the bottom of the panel if items have been isolated. |

iPadOS
On an iPad, you can access options for Zoom to, Rename, and Delete, by swiping left on an item. Alternatively, you can access these functions in a menu, along with the Isolate Items function, by long-tapping an item.
