Speed up geometry creation with automated union or subtract actions in the Revolve tool, and gain better control over decal projections and edge visibility:
- New: Auto-Boolean capabilities in Revolve tool
- Improved: Cylindrical projection toggle for Decals
- Improved: Hidden edge visibility controls
Auto-Boolean capabilities in Revolve tool
The Revolve tool now automatically combines or cuts geometry during the revolve process. Similar to the Extrude tool, a Boolean badge now appears in the modeling space as you revolve a profile, allowing you to easily choose whether the generated shape unions with existing items, subtracts material, intersects geometry, or remains a completely new standalone body.
Cylindrical projection toggle for Decals
Applying custom labels, warnings, or logos to complex, rounded profiles is now more accurate with the addition of a Cylindrical projection toggle in the Properties panel. Turning this option on or off allows you to switch between standard flat mapping and wrapped mapping, ensuring your artwork correctly conforms to curved surface geometry without stretching or distorting.
Hidden edge visibility controls
Inspecting internal features is more comprehensive with new visibility toggles for hidden geometry lines. When working within Wireframe or Section View modes, you can turn on or turn off Show Hidden Edges. This allows you to audit internal intersections and clear out visual clutter depending on the detail level required for your technical review.
