Fully edit models in Shapr3D on Vision Pro

With Shapr3D on Vision Pro, you can bring your 3D designs to life in an immersive, augmented reality environment. Vision Pro offers full editing capabilities similar to Windows, iPadOS, or macOS, as long as you have a connected keyboard and mouse or trackpad. Without a connected keyboard and mouse or trackpad, the editing capabilities are limited to navigation and Visualization.

Requirements for direct editing

To unlock full editing features in Shapr3D on Vision Pro, you’ll need the following:

  • Bluetooth-compatible keyboard
  • Bluetooth-compatible mouse or trackpad

Setting up your workspace and editing in Shapr3D

When using Shapr3D on Vision Pro, you can access full editing capabilities similar to Windows, iPadOS, or macOS if you have a connected keyboard and mouse or trackpad.

To start editing directly in Shapr3D on Vision Pro:

  1. Connect devices: Pair your Vision Pro with a compatible keyboard and mouse/trackpad to access direct editing tools.
  2. Start modeling: Begin editing as you would on your Windows, iPadOS, or macOS device. To get started with editing, check out our Starter guide video tutorials, or our articles on Sketching, Constraints, the Add Menu, the Transform menu, and the Tool menu.

Note: You may need to allow Shapr3D access to your photo library to import models or verify your EDU license.

Editing without a keyboard and mouse/trackpad

If you aren’t using a connected keyboard and mouse or trackpad, your editing abilities will be focused on enhancing the visual aspects of your models, including:

  • Navigation: Move around and explore your model in both Shapr3D and the Immersive View.
  • Visualization:
    • Material adjustments: Apply and customize materials to enhance the look of your design.
    • Environment settings: Modify lighting and environment options for better presentation. To learn more, visit Visualization.
  • Settings: Customize other visual aspects and other settings or preferences.
