Collaborate in real-time with colleagues or clients in Shapr3D’s Immersive View on Vision Pro. The Immersive View allows for interactive feedback and seamless collaboration within a shared 3D environment. You can either invite others to your space or join an immersive session hosted by someone else.
Requirements
Before starting or joining an immersive session, make sure to:
- Use the same Shapr3D Version: Ensure all Vision Pro devices are running the same version of Shapr3D which you can find under Settings or Preferences.
- Ensure Shapr3D is open on all Vision Pro devices: Confirm that both the host and all participants have Shapr3D open on their Vision Pro devices for the session.
-
Prepare the reference image: Have the Shapr3D-provided reference image ready to ensure that all participants view the model in the same position and scale, creating a unified, real-world perspective for everyone in the Immersive View.
Host a collaborative session
To start a collaborative session by inviting someone to your Immersive View:
- Open Shapr3D on Vision Pro.
- From the top ornament, select Shared or Not Shared > Start Meeting.
- In the Guests tab of the Immersive View settings, look for the Vision Pro of the participants you want to invite.
- Select the Vision Pro you want to start a collaborative session with.
- Place your reference image on a flat surface and have everyone in the session look at the image to begin calibration.
- Once the immersive model appears on the reference image, you can go to the Settings tab to control collaborative options.
To end a collaborative section:
- At the top, select Shared > Leave Meeting.
- To confirm, select End Sharing.
Manage participant access
As the host, you can adjust settings to control how participants interact with the model, including locking the model’s position and allowing independent interaction. To learn more, visit Immersive View settings.

If you’ve been invited to join an immersive session:
- Open Shapr3D on Vision Pro.
- Accept the invite that pops up once the host adds you to the collaborative session.
- Wait for the host to place the reference image on a flat surface and direct everyone to look at it to begin calibration.
- Once calibrated, the model will automatically appear on the reference image. The host can set permissions, allowing you to either interact with the model independently or observe as they control it.
To leave a collaborative section:
- Look for the Disconnect option on your Shapr3D screen.
- Select Disconnect to automatically exit the session.
Troubleshooting discoverability issues
If the host can’t see the participant in the Guests tab, follow these steps:
- Open Settings on Vision Pro.
- Go to Privacy & Security > Local Network.
- Ensure that Shapr3D is toggled on to allow network access.
Collaboration tips
- Effective communication: Provide clear, direct feedback to participants by discussing design adjustments and observations.
- Prepare participants: Before starting the session, encourage all participants to familiarize themselves with Vision Pro controls and gestures to help create a smooth, uninterrupted session for everyone.
