26.10 - Custom materials in Visualization

Import custom materials, sketch with world axis constraints, and reuse designs faster with multi project importing:

Import custom materials in Visualization

Bring your own textured materials into Visualization by importing .glb files. Imported materials are added to your material library, so you can reuse them across projects and apply them to bodies the same way you would with native materials. This helps you keep brand specific finishes, product textures, or supplier provided materials consistent without rebuilding them from scratch.

World axis snapping and constraints

Snap to the world axes and apply constraints during sketching, even when sketching off the default world planes. This keeps sketches aligned to a stable global reference, which is useful when building geometry that needs to stay consistent across rotated construction planes or imported parts.

Import multiple projects at once

Import multiple Shapr3D projects at once from the Import Projects dialog. This speeds up workflows where you reuse parts, bring in standard components, or combine multiple design files into a single workspace. It also cuts down on repetitive import steps when you are assembling concepts from existing projects.
